New Construction of Mailiao Township Social Education Park — Competition Entry (6th Place)

We entered this competition with perhaps too much sentiment. Whether it was the exhaustive hours poured in or the sheer willingness to give even more, looking back, it feels like a series of unrequited efforts—made possible only by a team of incredibly dedicated and hardworking colleagues.

Perhaps what the jury sought was an idealized impression of Mailiao rather than its true, raw identity. Were they simply not ready for our proposal? While one must occasionally play the "fool" for the sake of a vision, it requires a certain level of inner strength to withstand the outcome.

To have missed this chance to engage with Mailiao is a heavy regret; one wonders when such an encounter might happen again. Yet, perhaps some things are predestined.

Perhaps we should still go before Mazu and say to Her:
We are truly sorry!
We believe that Mailiao has its own destiny, and it will always have our sincere blessings!
